International collaboration

Intend started in 2006 with Gill and Joeke providing professional help to bid for international contracts, an area where very few companies offer expertise. Based on their transnational experience and in-depth knowledge of procurement, they have gone on to create a portfolio of business development and tendering support services geared to the needs of their key home markets (UK, Netherlands and Belgium). Intend has offices in The Hague, Netherlands and Stirling, Scotland

In the UK

Intend Business Development’s primary focus is tendering support and training for all stages of the procurement process. We work on a one-to-one basis with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), third sector organisations and large national companies. In Scotland we receive regular SME referrals from local authority economic development teams and Business Gateway.

Intend is a trainer for the Supplier Development Programme and are also advisors for Co-operative Development Scotland, supporting companies that seek to collaborate.

In addition we offer a full range of complementary business development services such as business plans, market research, support for consortium development, corporate & social responsibility training and interim management.

The Netherlands and Belgium

Intend BV supports both of these markets with a comprehensive range of business development services including in-house tendering training and bid management for national and international tenders. We work with companies of all sizes and NGOs.

Intend BV has developed an innovative Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR) Package to enhance clients’ tendering performance which is now available to all our clients.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, we are collaborating with a number of key business support and investment agencies to deliver training workshops.
